Kings Langley, 23/5/2009

The away match on this sunny Saturday afternoon was against an opposition from the Cricket Conference, in the delightful countryside of Kings Langley.
We were playing on the Rudolf Steiner School Ground which had an odd shape and two very close boundaries.
They won the toss and elected to bat
N2cc started with ten men and the K.L. started to pile on the runs.
After about 15 overs our 11th man turned up and T.K. swapped keeping duties with J.N.
Our bowling was pretty tight but with the short boundaries K.L ended up getting 235 runs.
I.D. getting 3 wickets and R.C. getting the other 2.
Catches from I.D. R.M. D.D. and D.P.

Tea time was taken after a 250 yard walk to the main pavilion.

Now it was N2’s turn to bat with a total that looked big for us to get

Openers D.P and R.M we ready to get going but D.P got out too quickly with a floor taken catch that was too unlucky but sometimes they stick and sometimes they don’t, this one stuck!!
Parker out for 8
Next in Josh Newham, and he and Robert Moore had a flourishing partnership with R.M getting stumped for 45
Next in T.K. and he and J.N. pushed the score along nicely with the big total set by K.L looking like it could be reached.
T.K.gets caught for 21.
Next in M.H. who took no time in all in hitting the ball well. Then J.N. gets bowled for a magnificent score of 87.
The win was definitely in sight with D.D. adding 9 and I.D. being 3no
M.H hits the winning runs and gets 49no

We hit 238 runs and achieved a fantastic victory
